The Reactivision enables the tracking of so called Fiducial Markers. These are objects placed in the field of view of an imaging system, for use as a point of reference or a measure. The Fiducial Engine uses an open source software called reacTIVsion to help track the markers and is able to communicate the relative position of the marker and it’s rotation to the Statemachine. This enables users to Fiducial Markers as control objects for different kinds of output. A fiducial tracker could be used as input to change the volume of an audio file or the position of the camera in a virtual world. The Fiducial Engine creates a real world physical interaction with a virtual audiovisual world.
