are you a maker who wants to have a deeper understanding of his own making process in relation to technology through analytical reflection? Or are you an academic in (performing) arts or educational science?
are you seeking information about the working field and research methods of MAplab?
mAPLAB believes in sharing knowledge, information and expertise.

The practice-led research approach of MAPLAB aims to feed the documented research results back into practice. We aim to have a self-regulating learning model, a dialogue of theoretical and practice based knowledge.

We focus on four research domains:
• Co-creative processes in a performative context (in collaboration with Research Centre
Performative Processes)
• Technology and interfaces
• Mixed Reality
• Didactics (in relation to the above mentioned)

Each domains covers its own area of research and is recorded in line with the nature of the domain. This can be publications, papers, project descriptions, evaluations, recorded lectures, video registrations, technical tools and instruction or didactic learning methods.
Read more about the domains on about research.

We work closely together with the Research Centre Performative Processes (RECPEP), that concentrates on the theory of creative making processes and publishes on this subject.

MAPLAB is a supporter of open source and sharing knowledge. We encourage you to contact us with your inquiries for information of any kind on our research methods and projects. In return, we would greatly appreciate it if you share your results with us.

We are keen on collaborations.
